- We assume that you have a domain name registered through itsyourdomain.com
- Let’s start from the home page of their webpage (www.itsyourdomain.com)
- Domain name transfers must be initiated at the ‘New registrars Website’, that is the website for the domain registrar where you want your domain name ‘Transferred to’.
- First of all, you must first ensure that your domain name is ‘Not Locked’, or being prevented from being transferred out of this registry.
- Enter your itsyourdomain.com account username and password in the text box of ‘Member Login’ section. Then click the login button.
- You are now logged in to your itsyourdomain.com account.
- Click on the ‘Transfer Shield’ link under ‘Services’ section.
- Now answer the security question you would have setup in your account, after that click ‘Continue’ button.
- In the new page, please click the ‘Edit Transfer Shield’ link.
- Now select the domain name you wish to unlock, then click ‘Continue’ button.
- Ensure the ‘Armed’ setting is set to ‘Not Armed’ by selecting ‘NO’ from the drop down menu. Then click ‘Continue’ button.
- That’s it. The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registrar.
- You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a ‘Domain transfer request’.
- When finished, click the ‘Log-out’ link.
