Transferring domain names away from ItsYourDomain.com

  • We assume that you have a domain name registered through itsyourdomain.com

  • Let’s start from the home page of their webpage (www.itsyourdomain.com)

  • Domain name transfers must be initiated at the ‘New registrars Website’, that is the website for the domain registrar where you want your domain name ‘Transferred to’.

  • First of all, you must first ensure that your domain name is ‘Not Locked’, or being prevented from being transferred out of this registry.

  • Enter your itsyourdomain.com account username and password in the text box of ‘Member Login’ section. Then click the login button.

  • You are now logged in to your itsyourdomain.com account.

  • Click on the ‘Transfer Shield’ link under ‘Services’ section.

  • Now answer the security question you would have setup in your account, after that click ‘Continue’ button.

  • In the new page, please click the ‘Edit Transfer Shield’ link.

  • Now select the domain name you wish to unlock, then click ‘Continue’ button.

  • Ensure the ‘Armed’ setting is set to ‘Not Armed’ by selecting ‘NO’ from the drop down menu. Then click ‘Continue’ button.

  • That’s it. The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registrar.

  • You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a ‘Domain transfer request’.

  • When finished, click the ‘Log-out’ link.
