- We assume that you have a domain name registered through www.NameBargain.com
- Let’s start from their webpage (www.NameBargain.com)
- We will now learn how to ‘Transfer your domain name away’ from this registrar and into the domain registry of your choice.
- Domain name transfers must be initiated at the ‘New registrars Website’, that is the website for the domain registrar where you want your domain name ‘Transferred to’.
- First of all, you must first ensure that your domain name is ‘Not Locked’, or being prevented from being transferred out of this registry.
- Click on the ‘Log-in’ button.
- Enter your NameBargain.com ‘Login ID’ and ‘Password’ in the text box. Then click the ‘Login’ button.
- You are now logged in to your NameBargain.com account.
- Click on ‘You have 2 domain names in your account’ under ‘My Account’ to view a list of domains in your account.
- Select the domain name for which you want to turn off registry lock.
- Scroll down.
- Click on the ‘Set Auto-Renew/Registrar-Lock Options for Domain Names and Services’ to set your ‘Registrar Lock’ options.
- Uncheck ‘Do not allow this name to be transferred to another registrar’ to turn off Registrar-Lock. Then click on ‘Save Changes’.
- You are done. The lock has been removed from the domain name, so it can now be transferred to another domain registry.
- You must now go to the website of the domain name registrar you wish to transfer to, and initiate a ‘Domain transfer request’.
- When finished, click the ‘Log-out’ link.
