How to setup email filters in cPanel?


  • After logging into the cPanel, click Account Level Filtering under Mail category.

  • Click Create a New Filter and fill up necessary information:

    • Filter Name: john (Example)

    • Rules: Select To (1st dropdown box) and Contains (2nd dropdown box)

    • Next text box, write john. Now choose an action for when the TO field CONTAINS the text john.

    • Actions: Select Deliver to folder. Type john in the text box and click change.

    • Click yourdomain.com. So in this case, the action is to deliver the email to the john folder.

    • Click Activate. You are done. The filter has been created.
